I decided to watch YouTube video's to learn a bit more about the topics of Digital Citizenship, Digital Safety, Digital Responsibility and Ethical use of the worldwide web and came across this video of which my children thought was very good and wanted this included in their curriculum at school because the music is quite a catchy tune which captures their attention. The topic on this video is about Oversharing on Social Media tools.
Task 2: EDN113 Living with Technology task 2, research topic areas are: 1. Safe use of the worldwide web 2. Responsible use of the worldwide web 3. Ethical use of the worldwide web I aimed the targeted audience for this research to Parents, Caregivers, Children and Teenagers. I learn't a lot about becoming a Digital Citizen and setting boundaries around parenting. I have decided to put new rules in place to use for the safety, health and well-being of my children and my research would be useful for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a better Digital Citizen by been alert and aware of dangers lurking on the world wide web. Digital Poster:
My digital poster is on the topic of learning on how to become Cyber-Smart by following a few simple rules. I aimed this poster towards the primary school aged student in years four to six. I started this part of the assignment by first sketching the plan for my poster in my notebook and then decided to research the site's that I was going to use to create my digital poster. I did get quite frustrated with this part of the assignment as I have never tried to create a digital poster of my own, so I asked my children on what site that they have used at school and would recommend to me. From this discussion I found the site called "Canva". When I fill out my initial registration form and log in, I decided to play around with this digital poster maker by completing the site tutorial first and then I had a play with designs and I ended up with the creation of my very first digital poster.
